After only 2.5 years of self taught, Dr. Binh Trinh has quickly carved out a reputation as being one of the most talented and accomplished new photographer on the world stage.
2008 was a particular big year for Dr. Trinh.
In February, he became the first NZ based photographer to win the prestigious International Premiere Grand Award at the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (US).
In August he became one of the youngest Master of Photography in NZ.
To cap this off, in December, Dr. Trinh won the International Portrait of the Year at the prestigious 2008 International Aperture Awards.
The competition attracted nearly 2000 entries from 39 countries. He had 3 images in the top 10, and was the only NZ photographer to have received a gold award, one of only seven given out. The top 10 list included 5 times winner of the Australian Portrait Photographer of the Year and 4 times winner of the NZ Professional Photographer of the Year.
These amazing accomplishments have certainly catapulted him into the elite group of world class photographers.
